Humpy's Woes

We may be stuck here in paradise but our coverage of world chess cannot cease. From The Hindu, we are informed of a problem faced by top woman player, India's Humpy Koneru. After losing her previous sponsor, BoB, to cricketer Rahul Dravid - the chess prodigy has found the going a lot tougher.

The Hindu's closing remarks are rather dark: "Only time will tell whether Humpy will be able to sustain interest in the sport or let her talent drift away to a point of no return".

Hope the same. Hope someone in Indian corporate will come forward or someone in world chess community will find some help for her. Or why someone wont employ her as a second may be she can earn something. Look at her performance at Corus.
